Putting, Overhead Cam & Realistic Roll
Why Putting at Elev8 Feels Different
- Money Putt turf gives you realistic roll and feedback under your feet.
- GSPro green undulation overlay shows breaks and elevation so you’re not just putting to a straight line.
- The overhead cameras let you see your putter path and contact in slow motion.
Most simulators treat putting like an afterthought. Our setup is designed so putting becomes a real skill shot you can actually improve indoors.
Overhead Slow-Mo: Your Best Teacher
- Watch exactly how your club is moving through impact, not just where the ball ended up.
- Look for patterns: toe up/down, heel drag, early release, or face open/closed.
- Use small adjustments and rewatch the replay — tiny fixes stack up quickly.
Understanding Your Data (Without Getting Overwhelmed)
ProTee VX and GSPro give you a lot of numbers. You don’t have to chase all of them. Start with a few key metrics for most of your practice:
- Club path: Are you swinging more in-to-out or out-to-in?
- Face angle: Is the clubface open, closed, or square at impact?
- Launch direction: Does the ball start where you think you’re aiming?
- Spin & launch height: Especially important for dialing in wedges and driver.
Focus on patterns over time, not one-off shots. If you’d like help understanding a readout, ask during a walkthrough or reach out between sessions.
Session Tips to Get the Most Out of Elev8
Before You Arrive
- Decide your goal: practice, play, or a mix of both.
- Bring clean clubs and unmarked white balls (no logos or colored balls).
- Wear comfortable shoes with tread — no metal spikes needed.
- If you’re new, consider adding a 30-minute buffer or booking a walkthrough session.
During Your Session
- Start with a warm-up on the range or a few short shots.
- Use the overhead replay to confirm what you’re feeling vs what’s really happening.
- Mix blocked practice (same shot) with random practice (different targets/clubs).
- Leave a few minutes at the end to wrap up and log out properly.
If Something Doesn’t Look Right
- No shots registering? Make sure the ball is in the hitting zone and that the GSPro → Labs API window is still running (minimized, not closed).
- Ball flight looks strange? Check ball cleanliness and make sure nothing is obstructing the cameras.
- Software glitch? Exit back to the GSPro main screen. If that doesn’t fix it, log out and back into the member/user account.
If you’re stuck or something feels off, call or text us. In many cases, we can log in remotely and help you restart GSPro, reset a window, or walk you through the next step.
